Τίρανα: Η αμερικανική πρεσβεία ‘έκοψε’ τις σχέσεις με αλβανική εφημερίδα…

Η αμερικανική πρεσβεία στην Αλβανία διέκοψε τις  επαγγελματικές σχέσεις της με την αλβανική εφημερίδα «Shekulli'»/ «Αιώνας», μέχρι …νεωτέρας.

Η εφημερίδα δημοσίευσε σήμερα την επιστολή  της πρεσβείας των ΗΠΑ και την πρόθεση της να ακυρώσει όλες τις συνδρομές της και κλήσεις δημοσιογράφων για τις δραστηριότητές της. Πληροφορεί ακόμη ότι δεν θα αποστέλλει δελτία τύπου, δηλώσεις ή δημοσιεύσεις.

Εγκρίθηκε από το Περιφερειακό Συμβούλιο Ιονίων Νήσων η συμμετοχή της Περιφέρειας σε προγράμματα Διασυνοριακής Συνεργασίας Ελλάδας και Αλβανίας, μετά την προ ημερήσιας διάταξης εισήγησης του θέματος από τον αντιπεριφερειάρχη Κέρκυρας, Χρήστο Σκούρτη.
Ειδικότερα, εγκρίθηκε η συμμετοχή στο Διασυνοριακό Πρόγραμμα Ελλάδα – Αλβανία, μέσω της πρότασης με τίτλο: “Μικροζωνική Μελέτη στις ιστορικές πόλεις Κέρκυρας και Χειμάρας, που αφορά στον προσδιορισμό της σεισμικής επικινδυνότητας της ευρύτερης περιοχής, με στόχο τη διεπιστημονική συνεργασία για τη συλλογή και την αξιολόγηση πληροφορικών αναφορικά με τη σεισμικότητα και τη σεισμική επικινδυνότητα της ευρύτερης περιοχής, την τοπική γεωλογία και τεκτονική, τα γεωτεχνικά χαρακτηριστικά του εδάφους και του γεωλογικού υπόβαθρου, καθώς και τη σεισμική απόκριση του εδάφους.

Greece: Albanian armed robber shot dead during police pursuit

Εγκαινιάστηκε η νέα υπηρεσία 3G της Vodafone στην Αλβανία

Ο πρωθυπουργός της Αλβανίας , Μπερίσα , συνεχάρη τη Vodafone Αλβανίας για τα εγκαίνια της τεχνολογίας 3G στα Τίρανα , με μια κλήση βίντεο στον κ. Χάρης Broumidis, διευθύνοντα σύμβουλο της Vodafone Αλβανίας. Κατά τη διάρκεια της συνομιλίας, ο πρωθυπουργός συνεχάρη τον κ. Broumidis ο οποίος δήλωσε πως εκτιμά ιδιαίτερα αυτό το ορόσημο στην ιστορία των τηλεπικοινωνιών στην Αλβανία. Ομοίως, ο πρωθυπουργός Μπερίσα θεώρησε την προσφορά τεχνολογίας 3G ως ένα σημαντικό βήμα στο πλαίσιο των προτεραιοτήτων και των προσπαθειών της χώρας προς την κατεύθυνση μιας «Ψηφιακής Αλβανίας».

Properties in southern Albania, like British tourists

The Albania property sector, one of the fastest emerging markets in Europe, could be boosted by the introduction of new low-cost flights from London to Albania.

Belle Air, a privately owned low cost airline, yesterday introduced the first flight from Albania to London Stansted. Two flights a week to and from Albaniawill operate on the winter timetable up until March 2011. Ravin Maharajah, sales director of Lalzit Bay & Spa Resort believes that the introduction of could appeal to more Brits willing to contemplate buying a home in Albania.

Maharajah said: "These flights reinforce Albania's growing position with the UK market in terms of both tourism and property purchasing. Albania is also celebrating this week as it has officially joined the Schengen Area Agreement allowing visa-free travel for residents throughout the 25 member states."
