2 years in prison and 1 million ALL fine for Ilir Meta
The Prosecution asked to the court 2 years to prison for the former Deputy Prime Minister, Ilir Meta, and a 1 million ALL fine over active corruption charges, based on the evidence provided by the video registration that apparently shows Meta trying to corrupt the former Minister of Economy, Dritan Prifti.
The Prosecution considers Prifti’s testimony as reliable.
The video that was recorded by the former Minister of Economy was broadcasted on Top Channel’s programs “Fiks Fare” and “Top Story”. The General Prosecution seized the materials and filed the former Minister’s declaration, in which he atestified that the leader of the Socialist Movement for Integration had tried to corrupt him for a Hydro Power plant concession and not only.
The trial for this case is about to end.
